Combining her twenty years of instrumental training with her naturally gritty voice and contagious personality, there is never a dull moment when Mikay takes the stage. Mikay’s raw vocal abilities reflect the talents of Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse while incorporating neo-soul elements of Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Mikay enjoys linking the laid-back vibes of the beach to her music while utilizing her strong jazz/blues background.
After performing with her former band Anchor Atlantic for over 4 years, Mikay decided to pursue a solo music career and has since performed and recorded with various artists in San Diego, CA, and the greater Washington DC area.
